Academy Alumni: Nine Alums Score in MLS and Abroad

Major League Soccer

  • Development Academy products assisted and scored both goals as the New England Revolution swept past the New York Red Bulls, 2-1. Revolution Academy product Diego Fagundez set the tone against the team's Eastern Conference rivals, when he scored his 28th career goal for the Revs in the 2nd minute of the game on Wednesday. The goal was assisted by Juan Agudelo (New York Red Bulls Academy). The Revs later claimed all three points after a Kelyn Rowe (Crossfire Premier) scored a goal in the 65th minute, assisted by Scott Caldwell (New England Revolution Academy).
  • Vancouver Whitecaps Academy product Kianz Froese helped the Whitecaps to a 1-0 victory over Honduran club Olympia on Wednesday, scoring in the 42nd minute.
  • FC Dallas Academy product Victor Ulloa scored his first career MLS goal on Friday in a 3-1 defeat to Sporting Kansas City. Ulloa's goal came in the 80th minute.
  • Dillon Powers (Andromeda FC) scored his 12th career MLS goal for Colorado Rapids in a 3-1 defeat to Toronto FC on Saturday. Despite being down by three goals, Powers was able to pull one back for the Rapids in the 40th minute.

  • U-23 MNT Roster for CONCACAF Olympic Qualifying Championship: Eleven players from this roster have ties to the Development Academy: Alashe (Vardar), Gil (Pateadores), Horvath (Real Colorado), Hyndman (FC Dallas), Miazga (New York Red Bulls Academy), Miller (Minnesota Thunder Academy), Morris (Seattle Sounders Academy), Pelosi (De Anza Force), Serna (Colorado Rapids Academy), Steffen (Continental FC DELCO) and Trapp (Crew SC Academy).
